On December 31, 2022, Adeana Marie Smolchuck – the tenderhearted beauty who cared for and inspired so many – went to be with Jesus at the age of 50 years young, passing of natural causes after more than a year of an undiagnosed illness.
Born and raised near Kansas City, Missouri, the effervescent Adeana went on to graduate from Southwest Missouri State University Magna Cum Laude with a Masters Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. As a top gun-type Speech Pathologist, she lovingly administered the pinnacle level of care for an untold number of patients in hospitals and nursing facilities for nearly 25 years.
Along the way, in 2002, her contagious joy, love of God, personal growth, music, and fun led her to meet and marry the love of her life, Randal “Smalls.” Adeana’s extensive knowledge in all things health and nutrition partnered hand-in-hand with Randal’s focus on spiritual and mental well-being, and together they have worked tirelessly since then to creatively enlighten and empower people to build a well-rounded BetterLife.
Adeana is survived by her husband, Randal, her father and mother, Frank and Oleta Brown, brother and sister-in-law, Brandon and Amanda Brown, brother, Steve Brown, sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Doug Stevenson, mother-in-law, Jetta Smolchuck, brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick and Kendal Hunt, and Steve and Shari Flora. Nephew and nieces, Brandon Seward, Baleigh Flora, Autum and Alana Brown, as well as Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
In the gaping hole that is left by her absence here on earth, as much as Adeana demonstrated such depth of compassion and empathy for others throughout her lifetime, she maintained her passion, right up until she flew to Heaven, that others would know the message that enjoying life through Jesus is possible.
The family would love to see and hear your expressions and fond memories of their sweet Adeana, and are asking those who would like to honor her legacy, in lieu of flowers, to please make a donation to Adeana’s life’s work – The BetterLife Foundation.
