Anna Lee (Meme) Webb, 78, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 4, 2017, with her family by her side, at the Port Orange Halifax Hospice. Anna Lee was born in Cumberland, Maryland on April 6, 1939 to Guy and Annabelle Propst. Anna Lee graduated from Keyser High School in West Virginia and went on to work for the CIA in Washington, DC. After a couple years, she moved back to Keyser and worked for the West Virginia Department of Highways. Her love for "shoes" prompted her to open a women's shoe store in downtown Keyser called "Anna Lee's Shoes" which was very successful. Needless to say, quite a few of the shoes made their way to her collection at home. After vacationing in Florida in 1984, Anna Lee and her daughter, Tara, decided to move to Daytona Beach. Anna Lee worked at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach before getting her job as Secretary to the President of Daytona Beach Community College/DBCC (now known as Daytona State College). Since her retirement from DBCC, Anna Lee spent most of her time with her granddaughter, Jesse, who was the love of her life. She never missed an event that Jesse participated in. She also loved shopping with her sister, Weezie. They never missed a good sale. On the weekends, Anna Lee was off and running to a Nascar race. She traveled up and down the east coast cheering for the Allison's and Petty's. Anna Lee is survived by her daughter, Tara DeBloom (Mike) and granddaughter, Jesse - South Daytona; sisters Janet "Weezie" (Jimmie) - Port Orange, FL; Donna (Bob) - Port St. Lucie, FL; Linda Lou (Ron) - Pleasant Hills, PA; brothers Jimbo (Mary Jo) - Cumberland, MD; Randy (Laurie) - Cumberland, MD; and many nieces and nephews. Throughout her life, Anna Lee stayed in contact with her very close friends: Penne, Bobbie Lee, Bob, Cheryl and Pat. A memorial service on the ocean will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129.
