Betty Jane Peck (Betty), 92, of Boca Raton (formerly of Daytona Beach Shores) was reunited in Heaven with her cherished husband, David on September 14, 2021. Betty was born in Perth Amboy, NJ, the only child of Edward and Gertrude (nee Gasman) Anderson. She graduated from Perth Amboy High School in 1947, and worked in New Jersey for the Prudential Insurance Company in Newark before marrying the love of her life, David W. Peck, on November 3, 1951 and raising their four daughters. Once her daughters were grown, Betty sought a position as a part time cashier at the Alexander’s Department store in Menlo Park NJ where she climbed the ranks to department manager before her retirement.
David and Betty came to Daytona Beach Shores in 1995, residing in Oceans West. An avid reader, Betty tended to the library at the condo for many years. Eternally devoted to her family, she also was an animal lover (especially cats), enjoyed word searches and mind puzzles, and singing in the church choir. After David’s passing in 2017, Betty moved to Boca Raton in order to be closer to her family. She leaves behind her four daughters, Janice (John) Fisher, Marjorie (Mark) Forgang, Patti (Leo) Stokinger, and Victoria Peck (Frank Casey); 8 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Graveside Service will be at 10:00am Saturday, September 25th at Woodland Cemetery, 399 Orange Ave., Port Orange with Rev. Dr. Jeff Sumner of Westminster By-The-Sea Presbyterian Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Humane Society (www.humanesociety.org). Arrangements entrusted to Shannon Maloney Funeral Home, (386) 760-9660
