

Carolyn was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to the Port Orange area 17 years ago from Kings Park, Long Island, N.Y. She worked for Countryside Lakes in Port Orange for the past 15 years as a Dietician. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, who cared for others and loved her four beautiful grandsons’ dearly. Carolyn will be missed dearly and will remain in our hearts. Carolyn joins, in heaven, her husband, Gerard DeVito and son, Laurence DeVito.
Carolyn leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving daughter, Lauren (James Leon Barber) DeVito Barber; four beautiful grandsons, Anthony Gerard DeVito, James Robert Barber, Derek Michael Barber, and Andrew Laurence Barber; brother, Robert (Barbara) Cupani; beautiful nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian Burial for Carolyn A. DeVito will be 1:00 pm on Friday, October 29, 2010 at Epiphany Catholic Church, 201 Lafayette Street, Port Orange, FL. The entombment will be at Volusia Memorial Park, 550 N. Nova Road, Ormond Beach, FL immediately following the service. The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 4815 Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange, FL with a Prayer Vigil Service at 7:00 pm.
