Eugene J. Crimmins, 77, of Port Orange, FL passed away the morning of October 4, 2021 at Halifax Hospital after a brief illness. Gene was born and raised in Long Beach, NY, and proudly served in the US Coast Guard prior to becoming an electrical technician for AT&T. Upon retiring and moving to Florida in the early 1980’s, Gene found he couldn’t sit still for long. Always a tinkerer, he found new projects to work on seasonally, whether they be fishing, motorcycle, or home related. Gene was also a partial owner of many small businesses throughout the years in Port Orange.
Gene is survived by his ex-wife Linda Crimmins, step daughter Jaclyn Giordano, and family friend of over 30 years Travis Stombaugh. He was reunited in Heaven with his son, Gregory, who passed away in 2005 and step-son, Cody who passed in 2004.
In true Gene fashion, a casual short and sweet graveside service will be held at Hillside Cemetery, Ormond Beach on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 11:00am.
