George Goulet

George Goulet, 93, of Port Orange, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016. George was born July 12, 1922 in Saint- Gervais, Quebec, Canada, son of the late Rosario and Alice (Marquis) Goulet. He was a resident of Massachusetts for many years and move to Port Orange in 1990. George was a professional painter who taught himself English by reading comic books and watching movies. An avid sports fan, George enjoyed hockey, New England Patriots football and the Boston Red Socks baseball. George enjoyed playing the slots online and at the Hard Rock in Tampa. He and his wife shared special time’s together dancing and taking many cruises. He is a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Port Orange. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 61 years, Rita; son, Jerry Goulet and his wife Kathi; daughters, Julie Koslik and her husband Gary, Carol Gauthier and Janet Orszulak and her husband John ; sister, Therese Goulet and 6 grandchildren; Niki Cannyn, Samantha Koslik, Brandon Goulet, Katie Goulet, Tyler Orszulak and Hailee Orszulak. He was predeceased by two brothers. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Monday, July 11, 2016 p.m. at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home 4815 S. Clyde Morris Blvd, Port Orange. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 8:30 a.m. Tuesday July 12, 2016 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church 4675 S. Clyde Morris Blvd. Port Orange.
