Helen H. McLendon

Helen, a Florida native born in Deland, worked for many years as a retail associate at Walgreens for over 20 years. In addition to her work, she loved spending time with her family and friends, fishing, tending to her many beautiful flowers, and especially shopping.

She is preceded in death by her sisters Florence and Mary as well as her daughter Pam Bolin of Jacksonville, Florida. Helen is survived by her husband F.L. “Mack” McLendon of South Daytona, FL; son Dewey and daughter-in-law Darlene McLendon of South Daytona, FL; daughter Allison Albro of Lakeland, FL; granddaughters Victoria Kinder and husband David of Lakeland, FL, and Savannah Abrams and husband Matt of Colorado Springs, CO; grandsons Jeff Billings and wife Brandy of Jacksonville, FL, Kyle Bolin of Jacksonville, FL, Austin and Spencer Albro both of Woodsville, NH; and great-grandchildren Addison and Avery Kinder of Lakeland, FL, Ella Billings and Jayden Willks of Jacksonville, FL, and Mia Abrams of Colorado Springs, CO.

A Memorial Service honoring Helen’s life will be held Tuesday, July 10th at 11am in the chapel of the Halifax Health Hospice Port Orange Care Center, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, with Rev. Brian Jones and Pastor Devon officiating.
