Jeffrey A. Murrell

Jeffrey A. Murrell, 58, of Port Orange passed away January 5th, 2019. He was born in Halifax Hospital on December 28, 1960, and graduated from Spruce Creek High School in 1978. He was a skilled woodworking craftsman. Jeff was owner of CounterPlay Inc. from 1992-2013. It was a solid surface manufacturing company for kitchens, baths, etc. He was an avid Florida Gator fan and a fan of early NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt Sr..

Jeff was predeceased by maternal grandparents, William Smith Jr. and Bertha Fern Houser, paternal grandparents, Sidney Murrell and Louise West Murrell. He is also predeceased by his beloved sister Susan D. Beck (Kerry). Jeff is survived by his wife Susan C. Murrell, his daughters Sydney E. Murrell and Devon E. Jones (Bryan), his parents Shirley S. Roberson (Robert) and George A. Murrell (Kathryn), stepsister Elizabeth A. Roberson, stepbrother Robert P. Roberson (Anita), and half brother Trevor P. Roberson.

There will be a memorial service January 19, 2019, at Port Orange Presbyterian Church, 4662 S. Clyde Morris Blvd. Port Orange, FL. 32129, at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Halifax Health Hospice or Port Orange Presbyterian Church. The family wishes to express thanks for the wonderful love and care given by Florida Cancer Specialist, Dr. Paul Dodd and staff and the Halifax Health Hospice team.
