Joan Veronica Yanneck passed away peacefully on October 12, 2017. She was born in The Bronx, NY on October 22, 1931 to John and Elizabeth Kenny. She married her first love, Bill on June 3, 1951 and they remained married for the next 65 years raising three children, two dogs and one cat. Joan was an active provider for her family, working at many jobs to help support her family over the years. She and Bill retired in 1985 and spent the next 32 years enjoying their lives, their family and the many long lasting friendships they established in the Port Orange community.
Joan loved to laugh and cook, she enjoyed needlepoint and watching Fox News. Her house and her driveway were always spotless and she never walked away from the Christmas Tree shop empty handed. She enjoyed everything Irish and so many people loved and cared for her as she did for them. Joan leaves behind her children: William (Diane); Mary Ellen (Michael); and Kenneth (Julie); five grandchildren, Annalisa Bower, Alanna, Kyle and Ryan Yanneck and Jonathan Adamec.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Hope Church in Port Orange, FL at 8:30 am on October 26th, 2017. Burial will follow at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, FL where she will be interred alongside her husband.
