Joseph Anthony Casale

Casale, Joseph Anthony, 70, of Port Orange, FL passed away Monday, May13, 2013. Joseph was born, November 11, 1942 in Norfolk, VA son of Emile and Clara (Ferrara) Casale and was very proud of his Italian Heritage. An aviator, Joseph served in the U. S Navy, was a retired Pilot for Eastern Airlines, and a former flight instructor at Embry Riddle University. He still was active in the U.S. Coast Guard Aux, Ponce Inlet serving as a pilot and aboard boats. He has been a resident of the Spruce Creek Community for over 15 years where he continued to fly and enjoyed the friendship of fellow pilots, friends, neighbors and tennis players. Besides his parents he is predeceased by his sister and brother in law Josephine and Emery Tinsman. He is survived by his daughter Gia Marie Oliver, Miami; sisters, Rose Neigenfind, VA; Emily Craig, CA and Lois (Douglas) Coleman, VA. and numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday May 17, 2013 at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home 4815 Clyde Morris Blvd. Port Orange.
