Judith "Judie" C. Wood

Judith "Judie" Carol Wood (Tarr), 80, of Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away at home surrounded by her children on August 28, 2023. Born on June 27, 1943, in Hyannis, Massachusetts, Judie was a loving, caring, and kind person who went out of her way to help anyone in need.

Judie is survived by her children, Cindy-Lou Sullivan, Jeffrey Wood, Kristi Wood, and Cory Wood, as well as 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Stephanie Moran, daughter Jodi Murphy, and grandson Daniel Sullivan.

After graduating from Dennis Yarmouth High School, Judie pursued higher education at Daytona Community College. She dedicated her career to educating young minds as a preschool teacher and eventually became the Director of the Best Beginnings Preschool. Judie was also very involved in helping to feed and clothe the homeless in her beloved Daytona Beach area.

In her free time, Judie loved walking along the beach, finding solace in the crashing waves. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, cherishing every moment together.

A celebration of Judie's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to the American Stroke Association in memory of Judie.
