Marilyn Anne Jenkins

Loving wife of the late R.D. Jenkins for over 50 years.

Marilyn was born January 8, 1934 in Rochester, Mi to Herman and Mary Ramin.

Marilyn was a resident of Madison Heights, Rochester, and Washington, MI also, Port Orange and Daytona Beach, FL for many years.

Marilyn was a registered nurse and medic to all the neighborhood kids’ cuts, bruises and stitches removal. She was a caregiver to her late husband for over 20 years. Her job as a pediatric nurse in Rochester Hills for 20 years is where she shared her caring and compassionate nature with many children as well.

Marilyn loved the game of pinochle and played with her neighborhood club for decades. She was an avid golfer and greens watcher at PGA events. Marilyn and RD loved to golf together and travel. They also were square dancers with the Hix n Chix in Rochester, MI, costumes and all. Her sense of adventure led her to brave the white water by rafting the Ocoee River in Tennessee at age 61. Marilyn was a volunteer den mother for cub scout pack 1592 in Madison Heights, MI and she was also a classical pianist serenading her family for many years.

Survivors include brothers Dr. Charles (Barbara) Ramin and Glenn Ramin, 4 children, Paul (Diane) Jenkins, John Jenkins, Thomas (Joan) Jenkins, and Mary Ellen (Jim) Ferryman. 13 grandchildren, Angela Burkhieser, Andrea Hales, Tim Jenkins, James Denis, Tracy Miller, John Roy Jenkins Jr, Trent Brown, Ryan Jenkins, DJ Cole, Kaylee Jenkins, Joseph Jenkins, Bishop Jenkins, Julian Jenkins, and 19 great grandchildren.

Predeceased by both of her parents, two sisters Lila Logan, Sally Schulz and grandson Chad Jenkins.

Memorial Celebration of Life service will be held at Amazing Grace Lutheran Church 29860 Dequindre Rd, Warren, MI 48092 on August 21, 2021 at 11:00 am

Interment At Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Mi on August 23, 2021 at 9:30 am
