

Michael Feniello, 73, of New Smyrna Beach, FL passed away peacefully at home on March 14, 2012. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home 4815 Clyde Morris Blvd, Port Orange at 10 a.m. Michael was born and raised in Staten Island N.Y. and resided there until 2000 when he moved to New Smyrna Beach. After graduating from New Dorp High School, S.I., and N.Y. in 1956. He worked for the Housing Authority of N.Y., and then in 1961 he became a New York City Police Officer working in many NY City areas before retiring in 1982 from the 122 precinct in Staten Island. He was then employed by the Board of Education until retiring in 2000. Michael enjoyed sports to include softball, basketball and was a bowling enthusiast. He loved fishing and boating on the “Oreo” in Staten Island. He had a deck boat that he enjoyed with friends and family. He was a devoted son, a loving husband and caring helpful father to his daughters. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sonia; daughters, Cheryl of Edgewater and Jodi and son-in-law Frank Maniscalco of Edgewater; two grandchildren, Christopher and Larissa; brother, Richard of New Smyrna Beach and his wife Barbara, sister-in-law Karen( who was like a sister) and her husband Tony Sciacovelli of Miami as well as many friends, neighbors, nieces and nephews.
