

Paul Elder, of Daytona Beach passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Florida Hospital, Daytona Beach. He was born in Butler, Pennsylvania to Harley Paul and Snow Davis Elder. He grew up in the Butler area and attended Butler area schools, graduating in 1959. He worked in the electronics field, after which he served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. After an honorable discharge, he worked at Pullman Standard and also operated a service station in Butler, PA. He attended both Kent State and Youngstown State Universities in Ohio majoring in Marketing. His career was in Sales Management. Paul and his family relocated to Florida in 1992 from Warren, Ohio. Paul was a kind, generous and humble soul who very much enjoyed fishing and watching NFL football, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers. Horse racing, Pro Wrestling and action movies were also favorite pastimes. He loved the company of his dogs, Kota and Fancy. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Paul was preceded in death by four brothers. He will be cherished in memory by his wife of 36 years, Patricia; son, Patrick Elder; daughter, Lisa Goodman; grandchildren, Jayden Goodman and Pierce Elder all of Daytona Beach and Patrick Elder Jr. of Riverton, Wyoming all whom he loved dearly.
