A mass of christian burial for Robert F. McMahon, who passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2010, will be 8:30 am on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 4675 Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange, FL with the Reverend Joe Pinchock as officiant. The interment will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL with Army Funeral Honors, immediately following the service.
Mr. McMahon was born in Binghamton, New York. He proudly served his country during WW II in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Niagara University. He was a retired Administrator.
Mr. McMahon was preceded in death by his daughter, Maureen MacNeill. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 62 years, Doris; one son, Robert (Michele) J. McMahon, Tampa; four daughters, Kathleen (Philip) Wolgemuth, Altamonte Springs, FL, Betsy (Donald) Wetherington, Clearwater, FL, Barbara (Michael) Schwirian, Palm Harbor, FL and Patricia (William) Wheeley, Palm Harbor, FL; 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the care and trust of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Port Orange, FL.
