

Roger A. Voisine, beloved husband of Linda (Ferreira) Voisine of Port Orange, FL, passed away peacefully with his wife and his grandson, Tyler; one of his greatest joys in life; by his side on Sunday, April 7, 2024. He was 72 years old.
Roger was born on April 10, 1951, in Fort Kent, Maine to the the late Alyre and Albertine (Ouellette) Voisine. Roger was one of nine boys. He grew up in Fort Kent, Maine before moving to Wallingford, Connecticut and then eventually settling in Port Orange, Florida 19 years ago. Roger was known for his joking personality with a take it or leave it attitude.
Roger was exceptionally handy and made a career of that talent working independently as a home improvement contractor. He took great pride in his craftsmanship. His commitment to excellence earned him the respect and admiration of his clients.
Outside of work, Roger was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, known by his grandchildren as “Poppie”. He enjoyed spending time with his family. In his free time, Roger enjoyed NASCAR racing particularly stock cars at smaller tracks. Roger owned and raced modifies at local tracks in the Connecticut and Massachusetts area throughout his younger years. He ended his racing career as NASCAR Official at those same tracks. He had a love for cars especially corvettes especially his 1966 Stingray which he won many awards at local car shows in the New England area.
Roger will be deeply missed by his loving family, including his wife Linda, children Priscilla Voisine, Rachel Voisine, Roger (Meicca) Voisine, Reynold Voisine, and Stan (Casey) DeCosta, grandchildren Tyler DeCosta, Nathan DeCosta, Dennis (Rebecca Gonyea) Tebo, Devin (Aleia) Tebo, Andre Green, Jaeda Streeter, Donovon A. Voisine, Joshua Voisine, Lace Rae Voisine, and Reynold Voisine Jr., great grandchildren Bailey Tebo, Ava Tebo and Eli Tebo. Roger also leaves behind brothers, Wilmer (Monique), Reynold (Brenda), Leonard, Delcy (Rena), Joel (Tamara) and Elmer (Denise). He was predeceased by brothers Albert (Joan) and Bertrand. Roger had many nieces and nephews.
A Gathering of Friends and Family for a Visitation will be held on Monday, April 15 from 11am-12pm, with a Funeral Service starting at 12 pm at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home - Port Orange. A reception at the funeral home will follow until 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
