

The McLain family is sad to announce the death of their beloved sister, Cheryl Mclain Burns who died unexpectedly of a brain aneurysm on June 20th, 2017. She was 55 years old. Cheryl, the widow of Dr. Richard D. Burns, is survived by her sister, Janet McLain and her three brothers, Robbie, Donny and Denny McLain,
Cheryl, who enjoyed robust health her whole life will be greatly missed by her sister and brothers, her twelve nephews and nieces, her aunts, uncles and cousins and her friends, both locally and abroad. She will be also be forever remembered by her four best friends, Bess, Debbie, Carol and Lori, her godchild, Justine and her dog Izzy.
Cheryl was a world traveler, a patron of the arts, an avid reader and an intrepid Trivial Pursuit opponent. She loved playing cards and board games with her family. In fact, she loved nothing better than being with her family. Cheryl was the kindest person with the hugest heart. She was a staunch advocate for the protection of animals, the preservation of the environment and an enthusiastic animal rights supporter. She had volunteered for the past two years at the Humane Society, in Stuart, Florida.
Cheryl will always be dear in the hearts of her loved ones, and her energy will be revered and cherished eternally.
Cheryl had donated her body to science and in keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral services. Instead, there will be a memorial service and celebration of her life to be held on July 29th, 2017, from 5 PM to 9 PM, at the Aycock at Tradition, 12571 SW Tradition Parekway Port St. Lucie, FL 34987 with a dinner to be served after the memorial service.
