Christine T. Bodemer

Chris was born on March 17, in Binghamton, New York to Jane and William Bodemer. She had one younger sibling, Guy Bodemer.

Chris’ love of helping others started while she was still in High School and graduated with her LPN. She began her work in a nursing home, where she enjoyed being with the elderly and listening to their stories. In 1975, she made the move to Park Forest, IL. She continued working in the medical field at the Ludemen’s Center for developmentally delayed, and eventually began working for Saint James Hospital in the ICU. There were changes in the field which led Chris to return to school to earn her AA earning her degree and made the dean’s list each semester. Chris relocated to FL in 1989 where she began working at Lawnwood Regional Medical in the ICU and SNU, until she changed departments and retired from the Physical Rehabilitation Unit. While working in the physical rehibition she earned her CCRN certificate.

Chris enjoyed keeping in touch, gift giving, traveling, reading a good book, swimming, movies, and music. She loved to sing, and her favorite holiday was Christmas. She loved the lights, decorations, baking cookies, and most of all the carols

Chris was a member of Parkview Baptist in Fort Pierce, FL and loved her church home. She taught Sunday school, participated with the Pantry and other events such as Trunk or Treat, and was a member of the choir.

Chris is survived by her brother Guy, his wife Sue, and their children and grandchildren; her Aunt Marie Saccutelli and her children, grandchildren and great grandchild; Uncle Richard Smith, his children and grandchildren; Roxanne and Paul Greenburger, their children and grandchildren as well as many other loved ones and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Parkview Baptist Church located at 403 Hayes Rd, Fort Pierce FL, on June 13, 2021 at 2pm. We are attempting to offer the memorial via Zoom.
