Dorothy J Maragos

Dorothy J. Maragos, 82, of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away on November 17, 2016 at her residence. Born in Vanport, PA, Mrs. Maragos had previously lived in Monroeville, PA before relocating to the Port St. Lucie area. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Fort Pierce. Mrs. Maragos had a fiery spirit with a kind heart and will be truly missed. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jack Maragos; daughter, Kathleen Mahon and her significant other who loved and cared for as a son, Frederick Stoltz of Port St. Lucie, FL; son, Phillip Maragos and his wife, Kathy of Jupiter, FL; daughter, Pauline Shea and her husband, Lawrence of Cherry Hill, New Jersey; grandchildren, Christopher, Brian, Krista, and Daniel; great grandson, Caleb; brothers, Bob Singleton, Butch and Jan Singleton, Bill and Madeline Singleton, and sister, Susie Matthews. Mrs. Maragos was predeceased by her parents, Robert W. and Anna E. Singleton, brother, Kenny Singleton, and sisters, Carol Galloway, Sandy Dillon, Janet Cummings, Cora “Cokie” Tullis and Thelma Stone. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 4:00-6:00PM with a prayer service to begin at 5:45PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church with entombment to immediately follow at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart, FL.
