Born in Puerto Rico, Mr. Bonilla had previously lived in Fort Lauderdale for 37 years before moving to Port St. Lucie 5 years ago.
He worked for the City of Sunrise as a heavy machine operator and loved to work on puzzles and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He loved to fish and breaking any electronic he could get his hands on (love you dad).
Mr. Bonilla was of Catholic faith.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ramonita of Port St. Lucie, FL; son, Bruce Bonilla and his wife, Blance Bonilla of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughter, Sonya Sanchez and her husband, Danny of Loganville, GA; daughter, Deborah Rosello and her husband, Adon of Fort Lauderdale, FL; sisters, Daisy, Rosa, and Iris; brothers, Hilton and Johnny; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
George was known mostly as dad and grandpa. He was the rock of our family, always being there for everyone.
Mr. Bonilla was predeceased by his parents, Juan and Camilla Bonilla; brother, Raphael, and his grandson, David.
A visitation will be held on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 4:00PM-6:00PM at Aycock Funeral Home, Byrd, Young and Prill Chapel in Port St. Lucie with a Funeral Service to begin at 6:00PM. Mr. Bonilla will be laid to rest on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery in North Lauderdale, FL.
