George F. Broker born on September 24, 1949, died peacefully at home after his battle with cancer December 27, 2023 at age 74. George was a true hero who served in the US Army with honor during the Vietnam War.
George is survived by his loving wife, Jeanette Quinto-Broker, daughter, Heather Broker and her husband Dan Troisi, grandchildren Myles and Abigail, his beloved service dog, Piper, his sister, Patricia Marchand and her husband Dave, and their children, sister-in law Debbie Longo and her husband Dino, and their children, sister-in-law Donna Wentz and her husband, Nicky, and their children, and sister-in-law Tricia Burchanti and her husband Bill. George is predeceased by mother Winifred Broker and father George Broker.
George met Jeanette in Brooklyn, New York and were wed on May 21, 1983. Two years later, they welcomed their daughter, Heather. George and Jeanette relocated to Port St. Lucie, Florida in 2004.
In addition to his military service, George was a loving spouse, devoted parent, caring brother, and loyal friend. George served the City of New York for 20 years as a sanitation worker. He spent many summers watching the New York Mets on the stoop in Brooklyn, so when George and Jeanette moved to Port St. Lucie, it was only natural for him to gravitate towards Clover Park. He spent over 18 years working as a gate attendant for Clover Park during the Mets Spring Training and the St. Lucie Mets regular season.
A celebration of life will be held on January 20, 2024. Visitation will be from 2pm-4pm with a funeral service from 4pm-5pm. There will be a reception following the funeral service starting at 5pm. All services will be hosted at Aycock at Tradition, 12571 Tradition Parkway, Port St. Lucie, FL 34987.
