Joseph Allen Kidd

Joseph Allen Kidd passed away on Friday, July 7th, 2017 after an extended illness. Joe was born in Kentucky moving to Ft Lauderdale in 1964 and to Saint Lucie County in 1988. Joe retired from Yellow Freight in 2004 after 27 years of service.

Joe leaves behind his loving wife of 41 years Becky, children Joseph R, (Cortney), Tamara (Johnnie), Kelly Paul (Bill), Dee Nardiello (Wil), Robert (Cassandra), 12 grandchildren, his brothers Eddie (Carol), Mike (Phyllis), and Tim (Michelle), and his sister Susan Funchess.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents Raymond Douglas Kidd and Ollie Blanche Culbertson and his sister Sherry Hoffman.

Joe was a member of Morningside Church, and participated in the church's Classic Car Ministry. He was also a NASCAR enthusiast.

Joe was always smiling and never met a stranger. His positive outlook was contagious. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him through his illness and ultimately gave him peace. He was a loving husband, Dad, and Pop Pop. Joe was happiest when he was surrounded by his family and when he was helping others.

There will be a celebration of Joe's life on Saturday, July 15th, at Morningside Church located at 2180 SE Morningside Blvd, Port Saint Lucie, FL 34952. Visitation will be at 10 am followed by a service at 11 am. A reception will immediately follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, Joe's family is requesting donations be made to Morningside Church Classic Car Ministry in memory of Joe Kidd. Morningside's address is 2180 SE Morningside Blvd, Port Saint Lucie, FL 34952.
