We moved back to NYC recently, and it still feels so sad and unreal not to be able to go back to Dr. Martin. He is missed, never forgotten.  There are no doctors quite like him.  Prayers of continued comfort for his family and friends, and for all of his patients who enjoyed his good care.

My prayers thoughts extended to Dr Martin’s family, friends & loved ones.
He was our family physician/ cardiologist.
We cannot get over the pain of his death to this day. We didn’t expect this at all, still feels like a dream.
His departure is being felt in every aspect, to this point we haven’t found another loyal, caring, dedicated & reliable physician to replace him.

My Deepest Condolences and Prayers go out to Dr. Martin's family and close associates.  Dr. Martin was my "doctor dude", he was always a gentleman and encouraging....even with a hard headed patient such as myself who shunned doctors, but in Dr. Martin I found someone who supported me always, with patience and the gentle nudging he would deliver to get me back on my health targets (I love to eat and summer vacations at Myrtle Beach), even going thru unemployment over the past year and a half, he lifted my spirits whether my pressure was up or down, I would always leave his appointments feeling truly cared for!  Dr. Martin was family and I'm hurting!  Thanks (Dr. Martin) for giving me hope and working on and with me towards better health.  Rest in Power! 

I'll never walk past 96th and Central Park West without thinking about Dr. Martin. I'll remember his smile, his skill, his surprising memory for our personal history, his warmth. He was everything we could want in a doctor, in a friend. I'll keep hoping to see him walking towards his office, ready to see us again.

I was so shocked to hear of Dr. Martin's passing. He'd been my cardiologist for nearly 20 years and was always nothing less than kind, thorough and generous. He always remembered small details about my life that astounded me, given that I only saw him twice a year. I will miss him. My very deepest condolences to his family. 

I can't ever remember talking to Kevin without seeing a smile on his face.  Even his voice had his smile shining through.  Our birthdays are close so that is the time of year we usually connected.  Or faith would let us run into each other the rare occasions I visited the city.  He was my best friend throughout college and beyond.  My friend be at peace.  You will be remembered fondly.

My heart is so heavy learning of Dr. Kevin Martin‘s passing. I know no one supposed to live forever but this one right here really caught me off guard, I had no idea he was sick. I had the pleasure of working for Dr. Martin at Madison Avenue Private Practice (MAPP). He was  soft-spoken didn’t have to raise his voice to get his point across, it was a pleasure working for him. He was also my mother’s Doctor, he brought my mother out of some dark places right there at Mount Sinai hospital and she’s still with us today, my family and I are still grateful.  Dr. Martin was so kind and patient he had a wonderful spirit and he is truly going to be missed my condolence to the family.🙏🙏🙏RIP Dr. Martin

Dr. Martin was my PCP/Cardiologist for almost 20 years.  I add my voice to what other patients have already written.  Dr. Martin took the time to learn about about me and provided excellent care.  From visit to visit, months apart, he would remember to ask about planned vacations, graduations and retirements.  We shared stories of South America.  He was so thorough and helped me coordinate care through chronic illness.  My condolences to his family, friends and loved ones.  Please take comfort on the impact he had on so many and the good he did in his lifetime.

Firstly, Our deepest condolences to Dr Martin's family! 
Secondly, Dr Martin was my and my husbands's physician for the last 6 years.  He helped and supported us with compassion thru some scary, hard times, and celebrated with us during good times.
Thirdly, We are extremely grateful to his family for sharing the intimate celebration of his life tomorrow; we were, and are, so stunned by his incomprehensible passing!
Fourthly, What we remember and will miss most was his LOVE; he loved us, like a special family member- always there, always seeing our best sides, always wanting the very best for us...

I met Kevin Martin my friend and colleague at North General Hospital in the late 1990's. We remained in contact over the years as I referred many patients to his cardiology practice. I always appreciated the excellent and compassionate care he provided to my patients.  
I shared his love of traveling and enjoyed hearing about his many adventures. He gave great suggestions on where to go and what to do. He enjoyed life and will be missed.

To Dr. Martin's family:

I share in your sorrow in the passing of your loved one. Dr. Martin was so nice to me when providing recommendations for my specialty. He put real thought into his feedback and was encouraging. He was always respectful and a true scholar.

I met Dr Martin about 18 years ago. I work for a Financial Institution. Our paths crossed over the years in numerous ways. I assisted him when he needed Banking assistance, Years later when I left one branch and moved to another I assisted him again working near his office and then we ended up living in the same neighborhood for many years. When Dr Martin moved out of my neighborhood I would see him on occasion in the Bank but I one day ran into him on the cross town bus with some of his Family members  visiting New York. Dr Martin was taking them to a nearby restaurant. He  was always pleasant and distinguished. I also remember him saying he loved the Half Moon Bay Hotel in Jamaica. I am saddened to hear about his passing. My condolences to his loved ones. I should also mention, my family is a mix of Jamaican/Trinidadian so I feel like I lost an extended family member too. R.I.P. Dr Martin you will be missed.

My nephew Kevin was truly loved by us, his family.  He was especially helpful in my own recent medical situation last year as he was instrumental in the review of the proposed procedure  of my medical team.  Throughout the entire period under my Doctor's care Kevin was in constant dialogue with my surgeon as they sought to resolve my situation. His consultation was invaluable and certainly resulted in my speedy recovery.  I appreciated the times we visited his father (my brother) and Lance on several occasions in recent years.  He never failed to treat us to sumptious Jamaican food.  Farewell my dear nephew; Rest in peace.

     Kevin always had that reserved and observant smile. Those trips to Lucky Hill were the best days of our lives. King Ernest and Queen Hilda instilled certain values in us, which helped us to go about our lives never thinking that we were at anytime lacking of anything. 

     While we are here sending condolences of how we miss you and will be missing you, you will be oh so LUCKY to find out who is waiting on the other side the the "Hill".

Dr. Martin was my PCP/Cardiologist for 10+ years.  I found him through my health insurance list of partcipating physicians.  And what a find it was! 
I always knew he was giving me the best care.  He returned calls promptly, and was always attentive.

We both loved to travel.  I usually travel to So. America for 5-6 weeks in the winter.  As I headed to the Galapagos, Easter Island, and Patagonia, he was always pushing for me to go to Machu Pichu, so I particularly enjoyed the photo there.

My heart goes out to the family I knew of--father, brother in Florida and aunt from London.  Please know that your Kevin was not only our doctor, but our friend.

Reflecting on Kevin, memories flood in. What does one share with so many to choose from over a lifetime... drink and sunset at Rick's Cafe in Jamaica, or a quick visit in-transit from some exotic location or medical conference or service location which led to the constant teasing of him  holding the family travel record, or the teasing of his changing laugh as he came into his own as an accomplished Doctor which led to him being the family medical advocate to everybody's medical issue; a tremendous blessing as he decoded technical issues and clarified scary illnesses. Or checking out the latest Jamaican restaurant in New York or zooming down the rough country road at 90 mph  as two teenagers in my 1972 bug and getting a tire blow out which caused us to swerve down the road desperately trying to control the vehicle, finally stopping as we look at each other and laugh because we didn't crash... crazy, adventurous, explorer, lover of life who drank deeply from life's bosom. Or many times planning the family gatherings - must include everybody and get the history right, memorial must be crisp and clean and elegant to honor those gone ahead. Orders issued.. .do this, do that, you must talk to so and so, or I reached out to x and they are coming or they had this issue, etc, etc. Who would have thought that we would have to add you to the list of departed my dear cousin. We are all numb and it all seems so surreal but here we are, celebrating you. A toast to an unparalleled life lived full bore impacting all of us far and near. 

Dr. Martin was one of my life's most fortunate accidents. I needed a cardiological checkup and picked his name virtually at random from an internet list of doctors in my neighborhood. Over ten years he became the beacon and the supporting pillar of my health. A superb, compassionate physician, cheerful, constantly re-assuring, endlessly patient with my every perplexity – and with a startlingly precise memory for every little detail of my personal history. He made me feel sincerely cared for, which is what doctoring is all about. Quite simply: a gentle, good man that brightened a day in callous times. Thank you, Kevin.

Kevin  was our neighbor at 8 Allersyce Drive, Kgn 8 Jamaica for 10 years until we migrated to the US.
Kevin, I recall the fond and fun memories we experienced in our childhood. All those days we spent going back and forth under the Barbed wire fence between our homes, running into the home when our parents arrived home unexpectedly. We  enjoyed such great childhood times. Too soon to be gone from us. However, we hold no keys to life here on earth. You are in a greater and better place. We will MISS you very much and will always LOVE you. Sleep on my brother....heaven is better than this🙏🤲🤗💛

I am so sorry to hear of this. He was my grandmothers doctor for years and she loved him. Whenever I came with her he was ALWAYS kind and patient. My condolences go out to his family, friends, also his patients. 

Dr. Martin was the cardiologist for 3 members of our family over the last 9 years. We looked forward to our visits with him, because he treated us as whole people. Seeing him was like a therapy session with conversations about all the important aspects of our lives. If our blood pressure went up because of talk about work, he would switch the topic to food or travel. When we made a trip, we talked about how we would describe it to Dr. Martin. He was an excellent clinician, and it's hard to imagine how to replace his role in our lives. Our thoughts and condolences go out to his family and other patients. We will miss him deeply.

Kevin was a kind, compassionate and a great physician. We were married for 13 years and led a demanding and fulfilling life. He loved his family and practice. We shared great times and memories.  He will be missed. May God embrace and hold him in his light.  Rest in peace Kevin.

I first contacted Kevin 8 years ago for my husband, and he was so warm and comforting.  My husband passed away and I began to see Dr. Martin as my PCP and my cardiologist.  I adored him and considered him a friend.
I am so very sad to learn of his passing, and send warm wishes to all his loved ones.

Kevin and I were classmates at Calabar High School, Kingston, Jamaica. Kevin was warm, kind, and gracious.  He was a pleasure to be around. He was a good student and an even better person.  I am glad that I had the opportunity to know him and will miss him.

As an RN and a patient of Dr Martin’s  for years, my condolences to his family. He was an exceptional physician, smart, caring, funny, and a pleasure to see at each and every visit. He was also my husband’s cardiologist, and that of several others I referred to him, who also found him to be wonderful. I am so, so sad. His death is truly a huge loss.  I will never forget his care and what this meant to me, and the impact I know he has had on so many lives. Sending prayers for comfort in your loss. 

I remember so clearly how we celebrated Kevin’s graduation from Medical School at his parents’ home in the Bronx...a humble unassuming but unmistakably brilliant young man. His modest Dad  provided insights over the years of Kevin’s successful and brilliant career as a cardiologist.  I offer my deepest heartfelt condolences to Winston - my friend of more than sixty years, to his lovely dutiful daughter Jodi and ever so loving protective son Lance. I know your grieve deeply but Kevin has fulfilled his purpose with great distinction, warmth and devotedness to his family, his patients and his colleagues.

My deepest sympathy.  Dr. martin was my cardiologist for 26 years.  I met him at North General Hospital,  He would come down to the radiology department to review his patients' x-rays.   I needed a heart specialist and I asked him to be my doctor.  Dr. Martin was with me through so many procedures  over the past 26 years.  He was my doctor and my friend.  I will miss him and I share so deeply your sorrow.  God's comfort and peace which passes all understanding strengthen and keep you during this time.
