

She was born in Suffern, NY, on June 28, 1963, the daughter of the late Esther A. (DuVall) and Charles P. Conklin. Mrs. Franklin grew up in both Rockland and Chenango Counties in New York and graduated from Sherburne-Earlville Central School in 1981.
Mrs. Franklin’s calling in life was caring for others. When her children were young, she was a stay-at-home mom who frequently volunteered with her children's schools and extracurricular activities. She spent the last 17 years of her life working at the ARC of the Treasure Coast as a direct care provider, where she touched many lives with her kindness.
Surviving are her husband of 15 years, Daniel T. Franklin; her daughter, Molly F. Youngs of Port St. Lucie, FL; her stepdaughter, Kerri L. Eldreth of Stuart, FL; three grandsons, Logan S. Eldreth, Zachary R. Eldreth, and Nolan B. Eldreth-Franklin, all of Stuart, FL. Also surviving is her brother, Phillip F. Conklin of Port St. Lucie, FL. She is also survived by her in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Adam C. Youngs, who passed away in 2019; as well as a brother, Kevin J. Conklin, who passed away in 1962; and her sister, Elizabeth A. (Conklin) Youngs, who passed away in 2015.
In lieu, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the ARC of the Treasure Coast in Mary’s name.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Aycock at Tradition, 12571 Tradition Parkway, Port St. Lucie, FL 34987, US, on May 1, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
