Born on January 22, 1947, Ronda lived a life marked by warmth and boundless love for her family, as well as a passionate engagement with the arts.
Her journey with her beloved husband, Dr. Martin Wershba, began as a childhood sweetheart story. Their decades-long love began when Ronda was just 15 and Marty 19.
She was a devoted mother to her daughters, Robin Carpenter and Tara Benson. She instilled in them the values of love, kindness, and family togetherness. Her nurturing spirit extended to her grandchildren, Heather and Hunter Carpenter, Maxwell, Zoe, and Dashiell Benson, who brought joy and laughter into her life. She took pride in their accomplishments and cherished every moment spent with them, creating a lifetime of memories. Ronda is predeceased by her parents Beck and Bernie Haber of New York, her sister Allyn of New York, son-in-law Steve Carpenter of Masontown, WV and sister-in-law Linda Clarke of Naperville, IL.
Ronda was a woman of talent. She was passionate about skiing and an outstanding cook and hostess. A member of the Port St. Lucie Art Society, Ronda held numerous juried awards for her art with proficiency in painting, jewelry making, needlepoint, and various crafts. She leaves behind a legacy of beauty and creativity.
Ronda's vibrant spirit, artistic talents, and loving heart will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A service for Ronda will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Aycock Funeral Home at Tradition in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, and in recognition of her love of animals, the family asks that you consider a donation in her memory to The Humane Society of SLC (hsslc.org).
