William Stuart Winston Tulloch Jr. was a man defined by unwavering dedication, resilience, and a profound, lifelong devotion to his family. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Junior carried the values of hard work and integrity throughout his life, building a legacy that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
In his native Jamaica, Junior laid the groundwork for a life of craftsmanship. A graduate of Dinthill Technical High School, he began his training in the mechanic trade, a skill set he would go on to master while working at Innswood Estates in St. Catherine and later at Carreras Limited.
In 1978, driven by the desire to provide greater opportunities for his loved ones, Junior immigrated to the United States with his beloved wife, Elaine, and their three youngest children: Jacqueline, Denise, and Michael. After a brief period in Washington, D.C., the family settled in New York on December 30, 1978. Their family circle was made complete in September 1979, when his older sons, Patrick and Matthew, joined them to begin their new life together.
Junior’s life was marked by an extraordinary work ethic. For 25 years, he served with distinction as a bus mechanic for the New York City Transit Authority. His industrious nature never wavered; even in retirement, he remained active as a school bus driver until 2024. For Junior, providing for his family was his highest honor. He worked tirelessly, viewing every sacrifice not as a burden, but as a tangible expression of his deep, abiding love.
Though a private, disciplined, and occasionally stern presence during his children’s formative years, Junior’s character evolved beautifully over time. Those closest to him came to know a man of vibrant humor and joyful spirit, whose warmth left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.
Junior is survived by his devoted wife, Elaine; his seven children: Patrick, Matthew, Jacqueline, Denise, Michael, Patricia, and Randy; and his nine grandchildren: Alecia, Brhea, Catherine, Paige, Matthew, Patrick, Jasmine, Mia, and Michael Jr. He is also remembered by his siblings: Fidelis, Harold, Rose, Patricia, Pamela, and Jennifer.
He now joins his parents, William Sr. and Laura, and his late brothers, Alvin and Tom, in eternal rest. While he has moved on, Junior remains the cornerstone of his family. His life stands as a testament to the power of hard work, the strength of character, and the enduring nature of love—all of which are vividly evident in the lives of the children he raised. His legacy lives on in all who were fortunate enough to call him husband, father, brother, and friend.
