Donna was born on August 11, 1940 the daughter of Bertram and Katherine (Peters)
Fairweather in Portland, ME. She graduated from Portland High School and soon after married
her husband of 54 years Robert McQuinn.
Donna was a person whose main priority in life was to make sure that her family was happy and
taken care of. Donna was a kind, giving, and gentle person. Law Enforcement was a passion of
hers because you would always see her watching Cops, The Sopranos and The Godfather. She
had a wide pallet of musical taste traveling to many concerts and shows. Some of her favorites
were Tony Bennett, Roy Orbison, Lionel Richie, and Regis Philbin. She would also listen to
groups such as Heart to Aerosmith. She loved music.
If you ever came across someone that knew Donna they would describe her as a person that
was kind, sweet, giving, and always had a positive attitude. She would frequently tell people
“don’t worry” and do anything to help them out. Her favorite holiday was Christmas which
meant that she got to give and love all of those that were around her.
Donna loved to take trips with her husband and one of her favorite places to travel to was
Foxwoods Casino where she would play the slots, dine out in the evening, and attending
concerts. Her last trip that she took was to DisneyWorld with her family. It was a dream of
hers to take her family there with no expense spared. Determined to make it there; it was a
wonderful last trip.
She leaves behind her 4 children to carry on her legacy of giving and love, Carol Daigle of
Portland, Jim McQuinn of South Portland, Pete McQuinn of Portland, and Jean McQuinn of
Portland; her grandson Brandon McQuinn whom she was always so proud of; her brother Neil
and his wife Kathy Shaw of Westbrook and many many friends. She was predeceased by her
parents and husband Robert McQuinn.
