Ellen Sharon Emery

Portland-Ellen Sharon Emery, 70, passed away on Sunday February 6, 2011. The daughter of Orville and Ida (Huston) Hutchins she was born September 4, 1940 in Haverhill, Massachusetts.

On February 1, 1958 she married Norman Emery, and was a stay at home mom raising six children. She was active in foster parenting, and volunteered as an EMT on the Lisbon ambulance. She was predeceased by her husband, four brothers, Richard Hutchins, Edwin Hutchins, Neal Hutchins, and Randy Richardson and a sister, Sibil Pouliquin.

She is survived by five sons Norman Emery Jr. of North Carolina, Orville Emery of Conway New Hampshire, Dale Emery of Brownfield Maine, Ricky Emery of North Carolina, and Timothy Emery of Arundel, Maine, a daughter Tamela Smit of Saco, Maine, two sisters Sandra Wright and Brenda Yeaton, a brother Donald Richardson, 15 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial services will be held Thursday February 17, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Grace Baptist Church 476 Summit Street Portland with Pastor Gary Quellette officiating. Interment will be private at the family’s convenience.
