Evelyn was born in Westbrook, ME on July 8, 1926; the daughter of the late Merton and Margaret (Worthington) Hale. She attended local Westbrook schools, and for many years worked at the American Can Company.
Evelyn loved to do crafting, play Bingo, watch the races at Scarborough Downs, do crosswords and she was a voracious reader.
Evelyn is survived by several nieces and nephews and extended family members.
A graveside service for Evelyn will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Westbrook in the spring of 2013.
Care for Evelyn has been entrusted to the Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home of Portland, ME.
