Gerald (Gerry) R. Nyrell

Portland-Gerald (Gerry) R. Nyrell, 66, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2011 with his daughter Tammy at his side. The son of Roy and Thuna (Larson) Nyrell he was born on October 23, 1944 in Portland Maine. He was proud of his service in the United States Navy.

He enjoyed golfing and collecting anything brass, he also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. His wonderful sense of humor will be missed by all. Tammy remembers her father as a very generous man.

He was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his daughter Tammy and her Fiancé Carl of South Portland, and three grandchildren Brooklynn Burns, Kody Burns, and Samantha Bryant.

There will be a graveside service with military honors on Tuesday February 22, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Evergreen Cemetery 672 Stevens Ave. Portland.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Gerry’s memory to Blue Star Mothers, American Legion Post # 164, 65 Depot Rd. Falmouth ME 04105 Attn Liz Bryant.
