

Helen was born in Bangor on July 31, 1917, the daughter of Alfred G. and Emma (Rogers) Sawyer. She was a graduate of the class of 1936 from Bangor High School.
Helen married her high school sweetheart Claude Morneault on October 12, 1940, and together they raised five children. Claude would predecease her on February 9, 1992. In addition to her husband, Helen was predeceased by her parents and siblings.
After raising her family Helen worked for Maine Medical Center as the manager of the coffee shop for approximately 5 years. In 1958 she and her husband purchased land on Little Sebago Lake, and for the rest of her life she enjoyed the lake and the home her husband had built there.
For years Helen also enjoyed her winter home in Clearwater, FL where she played golf, bingo, and enjoyed flea market shopping. While at the Woods at Canco she continued to enjoy her Bingo, weekly outings for lunch, and the entertainment offered there.Helen is survived by her children, Claudette Beaumont and her husband Donald of Bow, NH and Port Richey, FL; Richard A. Morneault of Colorado Springs; John Morneault and his partner Susan Meisner of Windham and Ft. Myers, FL; Priscilla Cutts of Windham, and Ronald S. Morneault and his wife Naomi of the Phillipines, her grandchildren Kimberly Benincasa of Bow, NH, James Beaumont (Pamela) of New Boston, NH, Kent Morneault (Carmen) of Napa Valley, CA, Scott Morneault and Ms. Michelle Morneault Plant of Burlington, MA, Benjamin Morneault of Townsend, MA, Sarah Morneault of Windham, ME, John Morneault Jr. of Wakefield, MA, Erica Savage (Steven) of Billerica, MA, and Isaac and Abigail Morneault of the Phillipines. Also surviving are 16 great grandchildren and nephews William Sawyer (Nancy) of Scarborough, James Sawyer (Laura) of Rogers, AR, and Niece Mary Sawyer Allen (Jon) of Maryland as well as her beloved cat Tinkerbell.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation Monday, September 24, 2012 from 4 to 7 PM at the Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland, ME. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Portland.
