Cape Elizabeth- Irene E. Johnson, 92, longtime resident of Ocean House Road, passed on October 17, 2018 at her residence. She was born in St. Justin, Canada, a daughter of Fred and Eloise Chabot.
She retired in 2017 after her many years of employment for the Catholic Diocese of Maine.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, James A. Johnson in 1979.
She is survived by a daughter, Theresa Klement; a son, Raymond Johnson; 5 grandchildren, Jeff Johnson, Amy Boothby, Alaina LeBlanc, Raymond LaBreck, Michael Shriver; 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to a time of visitation from 5-8 pm on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Jones Rich & Barnes Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St. Portland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Saturday, November 3rd at St. Bartholomew's Church, 8 Two Lights Rd., Cape Elizabeth, ME.
Burial will follow at Forest City Cemetery in South Portland.
