Ivan Schley Warden Jr.

Ivan S. Warden Jr., age 88 , passed away on Friday July 10, 2015. He was born on April 20, 1927 to Ethel May Murray and Ivan S. Warden Sr. Ivan grew up in Portland, ME. On March 17, 1949 he married Elizabeth Archibald. Together they had six children. Ivan was a long distance truck driver for many years. He also worked as a custodian for Cheverus High School and as a greeter at Walmart, Scarborough. Together with his wife, Elizabeth, he served at the WaySide Soup Kitchen for many years. His favorite song was Danny Boy.

Ivan is predeceased by his parents, a sister Lou and his brothers. He is survived by his wife of 66 years; his 3 sisters, Eleanor, Audrey and Debbie; his six children, Herbert, John, Bonnie, Darlene, Robert and Stacey. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to attend a time of visitation on Wednesday July 15, 2015 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM in the Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home 199 Woodford St. Portland, Maine. A funeral service will be held on Thursday July 16, 2015 at 11:00AM in the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow at Brooklawn Memorial Park in Portland, Maine.
