

Portland- Jeanne Donna Mathews, 79 longtime resident of Riverside Street in Portland, passed away May 3, 2016, following a lengthy illness. She was born in Portland, daughter of Maxin and Ernestine (Linscott) Corbeau.
Jeanne attended Cathedral School. She worked at the Temple Street parking garage for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also loved to play bingo and enjoyed her many trips to the casino.
She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur E. Mathews.
She is survived by a son, Michael A. Mathews and wife Becky of Windham; daughters, Pamela Beth Cartonio and husband Patrick of Baldwin, Terry J. York and husband Kevin of Portland; a sister, Dorraine Ward of Portland; brother, Donald Corbeau of Portland; grandchildren, Emma and Tyler Mathews, Jennifer, Jessica, Christina and Kevin of York; great-grandchildren, Shalee and Aiden.
Family members would like to acknowledge Jeanne’s son Michael, for the consistent, compassionate care he provided to Jeanne during her illness.
Friends and relatives are invited to a time of visitation from 4-7 pm on Sunday, May 8, 2016, at Jones Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Monday, May 9th at St. Joseph’s Church, 673 Stevens Avenue, Portland. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, South Portland.
