

Jeffrey D. Lawler, 54, of Standish, Maine, passed away on March 16, 2012. Jeff was born in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada and grew up in Calais, Maine, the son of John Lawler and Jacquelyn Bell Lawler. Jeff graduated from Calais High School and from New Hampshire College. He was employed by Wright Express of South Portland, where he was a Manager of Engineering Systems. He was previously employed as the Director of Engineering at Visa, and also worked in IT Security at LL Bean.
Jeff enjoyed many years of boating on Sebago Lake, travelling to warm-weather destinations, attending Sea Dogs games and musical theater, all of which he shared with his wife and partner of 28 years, Janet Moore. He also loved a warm, sunny day on the golf course with one or more of his buddies.
Jeff had a rare intellect, a sharp and entertaining wit, and an engaging personality, all of which will be deeply missed by friends and family.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Janet; his mother, Jacquelyn; three sisters, Deb Lawler and her husband, John Baer; Candace Sidell and her husband, Stephen; and Wanda Ewings and her husband, Brian; a niece; and three nephews. He is predeceased by his father.
Friends and family are invited to a time of visitation from 5-8 pm Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home 199 Woodford St. Portland where a Funeral Service will be held 11 am Wednesday, March 21 with Rev. Phil Shearman officiating.
Burial will be private at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Animal Refuge League of Westbrook.
