John was born in Rockland, Maine on March 18, 1933; the son of the late Richard and Martha (Knight) Grover. John attended Scarborough schools and could often be seen with a smile on his face working at his parents store named ‘Grover’s Variety”.
John spent over 25 years living in Florida in the largo and St. Petersburg area. He was an avid C.B. enthusiast, and loved to bowl and golf. John lived a very happy and vibrant life and brought joy to all he knew.
John is survived by a brother A. Gene Grover and his wife Diane of Portland, a niece Jamie Saunders of Huntsville, AL, a nephew Alexander Grover of Boston, MA and a dear cousin Jean Baker of Westbrook, ME as well as several extended family members.
A graveside service for John will be held in the spring of 2013.
Care for John and his family has been entrusted to the Jones, Rich & Hutchins funeral Home of Portland, ME.
