As a young person she worked for her parents who were the original owners of the Quality Shop on Stevens Ave. She married her husband Arthur G Ross of Pawtucket, Rhode Island and together the raised their family until his passing in 1977. They resided on Noyes St, Pitt St, and eventually built their home on Wayne St. They were both active members at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church where she taught Sunday school. They attended the Greek dances frequently with their family and friends.

She had a flair for the dramatic and loved to sing, taking acting lessons at the Portland Players Theatre Group. She could be heard listening to the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Count Basie, and Tony Bennett.
In her later years she was always looking for a new adventure and she met and married Ed Casey of Peaks Island moving to The Tennis Club in West Palm Beach Florida where she took up tennis and played it until the age of 80. She later returned to Maine to be closer to family and resided at the Birchwood’s on Canco and for the past year at the Barron Center.
