

Scarborough - Philip John Nappi "Pete", 55, of Woodland Road in Scarborough, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Maine Medical Center due to complications of Juvenile Diabetes. He was surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on September 27, 1961 in Framingham, MA a son of Philip J. and Jutta I. Nappi. Later, the family moved to Cape Elizabeth where he spent his childhood with his younger brother and sister. He attended Cape Elizabeth schools, class of 1980. His adult years were spent in Scarborough with former wife, Carol, and their two daughters Elizabeth and Nicole. Being a loving, devoted father, he took tremendous pride in his two girls, who he considered his greatest accomplishments.
He especially enjoyed his time at the family camp with loved ones in Raymond. He never missed an opportunity to make you smile or laugh with his quick - witted sense of humor. Not to mention, he couldn't pass up "The Big Deal" to entertain his family with a new "toy". His lifelong passion was restoring his Nova and puttering around in "The Barn". He was a self - employed sole proprietor of Nappi’s Workshop. During winters he owned and operated a personal business snow plowing, both commercial and residential. He will truly be missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by his daughters Elizabeth and Nicole, a soon-to-be grandchild; brother, John; sister, Gretchen; parents, Philip and Jutta; sister-in-law, Rebecca; along with his nieces, Katrina, Josie, Holly and nephews, John and Joey.
Friends and relatives are invited to a time of visitation from 4-7 pm on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at Jones, Rich & Barnes Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St. Portland.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at St. Peters Roman Catholic Church, 72 Federal St. Portland.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
