Richard Ringenback

Richard was born in Edelbrock, New Jersey on Oct. 27,1952 the only child to August Ringenback and Margaret Ringenback (Whittaker). Richard graduated from Bergen Catholic High School in 1971 and went onto college to graduate Magna Cum Laude with two Masters degrees Business Administration and communication/Broadcasting.

Richard was also a notary of the public, justice of the peace and held a Realtors license from the State of Maine. Richard worked as a DJ for WBLM, WHOM and lastly WLOB where he ended his career as DJ/operation manager. Besides his faith Richards love was radio broadcasting and had an amazing announcer's voice for when he did DJ'ing.

Richard moved to Portland Maine in 1974 and remained a resident until his passing. He loved Portland Maine and the opportunities it gave to him. He was married on August 29,1979 to the love of his life Gladys Ringenback (Valeriani).

Richard was a humble man who held a strong religious faith and attended The Faith Temple in Portland, formerly known as the First United Pentecostal Church for more than 40 years.

Richard had 3 children Joseph Val Valeriani, deceased in 2013, Teresa Ann Valeriani, residing in Wakefield, NH, Marilouise Buckley and her husband James (Jimmy) Buckley residing in Franklin, Maine. He has a Cousin, Father Jerry Ringenback as a priest for the Church of the Good Shepherd , Holbrook, New York. Richard leaves behind his beloved feline companion of 17 years Lillian who now resides with his daughter Teresa.

He was predeceased by his parents in 1987 and 1988. His wife Gladys on 12/25/2009, his son Joseph Val on January 25, 2013.

His service will be held on April 4, 2026 at 1 pm at Faith Temple, 1914 Congress Street.
