Robyn Jones Cartwright, 75, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on September 7th in Farmington, Maine, to her parents, Carroll Jones and Naomi Roger’s, both of whom predeceased her. Robyn was also preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Jones, and her half-sister, Adeline Jones.
She is survived by her ex-husband, Paul Cartwright of Dixfield, Maine, and her brothers, David Jones and his wife, Theresa, of Florida, and Peter Jones of Harpswell, Maine. Robyn is also survived by her sons, Derick Erickson and his fiancé, Theresa Abbott, of Poland, Maine, and Jasen Erickson and his girlfriend, Jamie Pacheco, of Turner, Maine.
Robyn’s joy was her family, especially her six grandchildren: Robert Townson of Poland, Brandy Quatrano and her husband, Ryan, of Winthrop, Lauren Erickson of Poland, Derek Erickson of Old Orchard Beach, Aaron Erickson of Turner, and Claudia Erickson of Windham. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, including Shane Jones and his wife, Nancy, of Farmington, Rice Jones of Auburn, Paris Jones, Paige Berry of Weld, Melissa Bickford Ellis of Wilton, Naomi Vann of Harpswell, and Priscilla Kinkade of Menifee, California. Additionally, she is survived by eight great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored.
Robyn was born and raised in Maine before her family moved to Southern California when she was 12. She graduated from Wilson High School in Long Beach in 1967 and later built a successful career in various roles, including office manager, routing manager, and Chief Financial Officer for a refrigeration company. She returned to Maine in 1989 to be closer to her family and worked at the Bates Mill in Lewiston managing shipments for Champion athletic apparel until retiring in 1992 due to health reasons.
An avid reader with a love for adventure, Robyn was always ready for spontaneous trips, camping, and traveling. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she cherished the memories of taking them to Range Pond in the summer and attending their school plays and sporting events. Robyn’s love for cooking was well-known, and she was the heart of all family gatherings, from Christmas celebrations to casual barbecues at her home in Lisbon.
Robyn had a natural gift for making friends, easily striking up conversations with strangers who would soon become dear friends. Her warmth, generosity, and infectious spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
In closing, we take comfort in knowing that Robyn is now in paradise with God. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
