Sophia retired from GMAC as an auto loan counselor, and served in the US Army with a stint in G2, Army Intelligence.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Emory Jr.; her parents, Ernest Fincher and Sophia (Woods) Fincher; a brother, Ernest Jr. and a sister Harriet. She is survived by her grandsons Jason and Jared Dodge; son, David Dodge and daughter-in-law Michelle Brown Dodge; her nieces, Tierra Fincher, Deborah Adams, and Alison Garrett; numerous god nephews, nieces, and cousins. Interment will be at 1 pm on May 25. 2022 at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta, ME 04330. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity. The family gives appreciation to the staff of the Maine Veterans Home for their kindness and care for Sophia.
