Teresa Marie Lombardo

Teresa Taliento Lombardo age 98 of Portland died Thursday September 29, 2016 at the Gosnell Hospice House. She was born in Portland, Maine on February 25, 1918 the daughter of Luigi and Michelina Galone Taliento. She was one of 13 children.

Teresa grew up in Portland and graduated from Portland High School. After high school, she began working at her brother’s store, Federal Foods. She married James Vincent Lombardo. She enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots with an occasional glass of wine. Teresa loved Sunday Dinners and Christmas Eve with the family. She loved making her 20 Ib. Lasagna.

Teresa was predeceased by her Husband James Vincent Lombardo, and her grandchildren Kyle Lombardo and Eric (Freddy) Frederick.

She is survived by her daughter and son in law Jean and Mike Willett, daughter and son in law Deb and Brian Swasey, Her son and daughter in law James and Jenn Lombardo all of Portland, Maine, grandchildren Debra and spouse Paul Coons, Denise and spouse Tommy Orr, Mike and spouse Sarah Willett, Brian Swasey and his partner Ray Barbagallo, Anthony Lombardo, Meagan Orr, Bobby Orr, Kerri Dubendris, and great grandchild Madeline Lombardo.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Barron Center and Gosnell Hospice House for their kindness and support. In lieu of flowers donations in Teresa’s memory can be made to the Gosnell Hospice House, 11 Hunnewell Road, Scarborough, ME 04074.

Friends and Family are in invited to attend a time of visitation on Monday October 3, 2016 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home 199 Woodford St. Portland, Maine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday October 4, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. in the St. Peters Roman Catholic Church 72 Federal St. Portland, Maine. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in South Portland, Maine.
