

GORHAM - William ("Bill") Fred MacMillan, 56, of 6 Acorn St. Gorham passed away unexpectedly on Friday April 20, 2018 at his home.
Bill was born on Oct. 28, 1961 in Portland. He was the son of Thomas Lee MacMillan and June Coburn MacMillan. On June 11, 2005 he was married to the love of his life Lisa Bailey MacMillan. Bill attended Deering High School where he played baseball and football.
His passion was golf and he shared that passion for sports with his son, Tony who lettered in baseball and football. Some of Bill's happiest times were watching his son play sports and spending time with him at Riverside Golf Course, where Bill was a lifetime member.
He was an avid New England sports fan especially the Patriots. Bill enjoyed playing his guitar and listening to rock music, especially The Who. He was the general manager of RSVP for 20 years and worked for B&M Bean Factory for 16 years until he retired. Bill loved his family and was revered by his friends. He was so proud to become a grandfather last year when he welcomed Evelyn June MacMillan into the family.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Bailey MacMillan; his son, Anthony Michael MacMillan and his wife, Jennalee Curit MacMillan; and his granddaughter, Evelyn June MacMillan, of Gray; his sister, Sandra D. Walsh and her husband, Edward Walsh, of Sherwood Street, Portland; his brother, Peter J. MacMillan, of Biddeford; five nieces and nephews; and five grandnieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Daniel MacMillan and beloved sister-in-law, Cathy MacMillan; and his wonderful father-in-law, Lanny Bailey.
Visiting hours will be held from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018, with a brief Memorial Service to follow at 3 p.m., at Jones, Rich and Barnes on Woodford Street in Portland.
