to her father, Charles Jessel, who was president of Jessel Marking Equipment Company.
In early 1960 she moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she was private secretary to one of the partners of Ernst and Ernst
Accounting, and subsequently as office manager for Stevens Engineering Incorporated. While in Arizona she learned
to fly a Beechcraft Debonair airplane.
Although much of her life was spent working at high-level secretarial and administrative positions, she enjoyed time
away from her desk, especially European travel. Over a period of forty years, by ship and plane, train and hydrofoil, she
traveled to many European cities. Outside the USA, Switzerland was her favorite country.
She will be remembered for her sense of humor, often sharp and unexpected, and for the easy and enjoyable way she lived her life.
She is survived by a son, Robert Watson, of Portland, Oregon, and a brother, Robert M. Jessel of Carlsbad, California.
