

and James Crawford. She was baptized at Philadelphia Community Missionary Baptist Church of Portland, Oregon at a young age.
Amber attended Grant High School in Portland, and later moved and graduated in Dayton, Ohio.
With encouragement and assistance from her cousin, Dorscine, she went on to attend Langston
University, an HBCU in Oklahoma. A truly gifted student of nursing. She went to the Dominican
Republic as a nursing exchange student, and worked in the hospital there. She also had many years of experience as a CNA.
One of her greatest talents was “doing hair”/hair stylist.
Some of her passions were couponing, traveling, music, and movies. She was also a foodie.
Her time in Oklahoma was full of road trips, shopping, casino visits, and time with friends.
Amber had a witty sense of humor. She was so fun to be around, and laugh with. She was always
ready for a good conversation, and solutions to whatever may ail you. Amber was a kind, generous, incredibly intelligent, beautiful person.
Amber is preceded in death by her grandmothers Jessie and Eva, and her grandfather Rozell Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Gaynell; father James; sisters, Rhonda and Diamond; brother, Johnel; non-biological sister Maggie; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
