Born and raised in Portland, she was the only daughter of William and Wilhelmina Payne. She graduated from Cleveland High School where she made many lifelong friends. She met and married Alan G. Miller and started a family, welcoming Cathy Karen into the world. Alan passed away in 1967 and Angela answered the challenge of being a single mother. She loved gardening, woodworking and arts and crafts. She enjoyed camping trips at Pelton Dam and the weekends spent on Sauvie Island with friends and family. An avid garage saler, she acted as navigator for her friend Elaine. She was always known as a selfless person, always helping others and expecting nothing in return.
Angela will be missed by her daughter, Karen and son-in-law, Craig Nordness; and her nephew, David Payne. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alan; daughter, Cathy; brothers, Archie and Randolph Payne; and nephew, Gary Payne.
A funeral service will be held at Skyline Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 10:30am.
