

Anita Diane Huber (Nee Pyles), aged 77, passed away on November 8, 2024, in Milwaukie, Oregon. Born on May 31, 1947, in Dodge City Kansas, Diane was known for her outgoing and caring personality, marked by a delightful mix of quick wit and humor. She had a zest for life, often seen driving her sports car with the top down enjoying the freedom of the open road.
Diane spent her career as an orthodontic assistant, later transitioning to drive a school bus for the North Clackamas School District, where she was beloved by many, and known by her nickname “Hoops”. Her independence was evident in her ability to handle tools and her unique approach to home projects, never needing a level to hang pictures.
A graduate of La Grande High School in Oregon, Diane carried the spirit of her education throughout her life. She had a rich personal life, filled with love for her family and a deep passion for hobbies like interior decorating and gardening. Diane could often be found talking to her flowers or rearranging her home decor, creating beautiful spaces.
Her love extended to her family, surviving her are her spouse Ron Huber; daughters Heather Vachek, Jennifer Beems, and Kimberly Ellis; and grandchildren Isabel Rivera, Quinton Beems, and Morgan Beems and sister Robin Beardsley. She was preceded in death by her son, Zachary Huber.
Diane relished in simple pleasures like Dairy Queen ice cream cones, word searches, and crossword puzzles, and was an avid baseball fan. Her visits to the Oregon Coast were times of joy and relaxation, embracing the beauty of nature and exploring the quaint shops.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and the importance of family. Diane will be deeply missed by all who knew her and remembered lovingly for her vibrant spirit and heartfelt care for others.
