Buddy was an enduring member of Allen Temple C.M.E. Church in Portland, Oregon where he always displayed an uplifting spirit of service, love and kindness to all he touched. He served faithfully as a foodservice worker for various church programs.

Buddy’s favorite activity was bowling, cooking, fishing, and tinkering with objects purchased from the Goodwill Store, and shopping at Fred Meyer. Buddy worked as a foodservice worker

at Red Robins, Reed College, University of

Portland, and Goodwill of Oregon.

Buddy, as he was commonly known, graduated from Portland Community College on June 1, 1991, with a certificate in the Culinary Arts.

Buddy transitioned to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 28, 2018. Preceding him in death are his parents, Avelton Harris and Gladys Edna Harris.

Buddy leaves to cherish him memory one sister, Glenda Harris-Benifield and cousins Addie Wallace of Portland, Oregon, LT Turnage, of Layton, Utah, Kathrina L. Turnage, of Los Angeles, California and Teressa G. Jefferson, of Las Vegas, Nevada, Sandra McDaniel, Jordan Davidson and Cody Davidson, Diane Cain and Dwayne Cain, and a number of family and friends, including his two caretakers, Ms. Jeannetta Byrd and Ms. Bonnie Richman.
