

Barbara Janet Ball, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away on March 23rd, 2015. She was born on February 25th 1939 in Portland Oregon; the 2nd of 6 children born to Leo and Violet Dittler.
While out riding his horse, Patrick Ball met a beautiful girl named Barbara Dittler, which led to a magical courtship and eventually marriage. The young couple married in Stevenson, Washington on December 28th, 1953 while Pat was on furlough over Christmas. After his time in the Army, the couple returned to Portland where they made their home. Their marriage stood the test of time as the couple celebrated their 61st anniversary in December.
Their union brought 2 children into the world, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Barbara, above all, was a devoting, supportive grandmother who spoiled her grandchildren like a good grandmother should. In her lifetime she was a supportive wife and mother to her children. She went back to work once her children reached high school, for Holland Bulb as a bookkeeper and worked there for many years.
Barbara’s life is highlighted by her love for her children and grandchildren. Her content nature was admired by her family; she never was one to be demanding, or to want. She focused on her family and always loved and supported her husband, children and grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her husband Patrick, her sister Pat and Brother Gary, her children Cindy and Joe (wife Sheila); and her grandchildren Krystal, Kyle, Kurtis, Paul, and Georgia, great grandchild Meuricio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sister Hope, and Brothers Leo and Eugene.
The world lost an amazing human being who will be greatly missed by all who she touched.
