

She lived in the St. Johns district of Portland until 1947 when her family moved to 1605 N. Simpson in Portland.
Barbara was a devout Catholic and she graduated from the Assumption Catholic grade school in St. Johns. She continued high school at Roosevelt High and graduated there in 1948.
Barbara had two older sisters, Francis; and Irene and two younger brothers, William and Richard.
She met her husband of 64 years, Grant A. Warneke, in 1947. They were married on her birthday in 1949. They lived a short time in apartments and then bought a small two bedroom house in the Parkrose district of Portland where their two sons, Steven and Mark were born in 1952 and 1954.
Barbara “Bobbie” and Grant and boys decided to move to the country at about 1955 form 10901 NE Thompson to 13600 NW Laidlaw Road (both Portland addresses). Susan Diane was born at the Laidlaw address in 1956.
Bobbie worked for the McCormack Lumber, Eggiman’s chicken hatchery, and the Beaverton School District, where she retired as the school baker.
She was loved by all - friends and family.
Bobbie loved her grandchildren Kyle, Amy, and Nicholas and they loved her. They were always in her thoughts and prayers. She was also very excited over Amy and Alex’s news of a great grandchild due in October 2014.
Bobbie and Grant moved to Sun Lakes, Arizona in July 2012 where she passed away April 15, 2014.
A celebration of life ceremony and reception will take place at Skyline Memorial Gardens, 4101 NW Skyline Blvd., Portland, Oregon on Friday, May 16th, 2014, at 11am. Family and friends are welcome.
In the Afternoon, following services at Skyline, friends and family are encouraged to attend a gathering at Steve’s farm, 12950 SW River Road, Hillsboro, Oregon, 97123.
